In addition to the amv, this sector also offers shelter to underage and adult (suspected) victims of human trafficking or smuggling, which often involves sexual exploitation and / or labor exploitation. The differences in the needs and support of minors and adults are taken into account. The shelters are available for people from all ages and genders. Shelters for large(r) groups are also available.
The residents of Jade Zorggroep receptions are receiving different care modalities, depending on their individual situation, competencies, learning skills and resilience. Each modality delivers a specific methodology and individual development plans.
Purpose and scope
The main objective within the sector Shelter is to provide a secure base. Many residents have experienced traumatic events, thus relaxation is the first priority, so that the staff at Jade Zorggroep can help the residents to look forward to the future and their upcoming development(s). Their future may be in the Netherlands but could also be in their country of origin.
The sector Shelter has two sector managers, and there is one appointed team leader for each location. The staff are professionals in the care and supervising areas, divided into pedagogical employee A and B. The staff are often supported by hosts/volunteers in the areas.
All employees within the sector Shelter have completed a relevant training program. The employees are trained to apply specific method(s) to their particular residential group. These methodologies are divided into AMV methodology, BO methodology and working with people within the COSM with a recovery methodology.
Beside the methodology training, all employees have to follow an aggression reduction training and emergency response training.
